Language is a system that consists of the development, maintenance, and use of complex systems of communication. There are four components to the subject: Language, Literature, Creative Writing and Oral.

Foundation Phase First Additional Language: Strengthens the Home Language. Focus on this subject will be on Listening, Speaking and Reading (Phonics and Comprehension). the focus will be on Listening and Speaking, to be taught through stories, rhymes and songs, but in Gr3 Reading and Writing will also get specific focus.
